work has finally caught up, and for the past couple of weeks, i've been swamped. we survived mardi gras. the shaybridge fotel finally let us move to another room where we don't have to open the curtains only to look out at the air conditioning unit for the entire building. for this coming president's day weekend, we're heading back to nyc. it'll be nice to be back "home" but the cold, the cold! it's so much warmer here.
have to get back to work, but a quick note on breakfast/brunch places - surrey's juice bar and bluebird cafe are the best. clean, healthy, nurturing food and atmosphere. slim goodies was okay. it gave me the impression of being a little dirty, and the food was not as good. more soon...
